I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This young talent started listening to music at the age of 10, influenced by friends and the local DJs. Karl-Eric Lerebours began his artistic life as DJ Blaze, he started mixing reggae, hip hop, reggaeton and rap. However, with education being the first priority of his life, he decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a DJ anyways. He practiced day and night before starting to play in his first parties. In 2004, while on playing for a friend, he was offered his first gig. From then on, he became more and more interested in the DJ culture. He was exposed by house music when he heard a set of Erick Morillo, he was blown away by the energy by the crowd and the DJ. Since, he was spinning house music. His skill has been evolving so far, which has landed him various gigs around the city of Port-au-Prince, Washington D.C. & New York City. After those long six years, he changed his creative name to Kalo. In 2009, Kalo started making bootlegs and launched a monthly podcasts. Within few months, his bootlegs were being blog by the popular blogs in the world such as Bacau House Mafia, Greek House Loverz, House Essentials, Beat My Day, Hungry4Music to name a few. He celebrated the year anniversary of the podcast which grossed about 5000-8000 plays and 2500-3000 downloads worlwide. He has been DJing for some radio stations, he has his weekly show on Tracklisting Web Radio, he has a summer show and a winter show on Radio Eclair 100.5 FM in Haiti. I DJed on Club Station Live, a french online radio station, also Virtual DJ Radio station. He was featured on Fresh Beat http://www.freshbeat.ca/?p=1535. His Steve Angello - Rave n' Perculate is on The Best Remixes 2010 (Bootleg Edition Vol 1-2), it's track #32.
