Julius Jones is a singer/songwriter, hailing from NYC and living in Worcester, MA. Instruments: drums, bass, guitar, and vocals.
Julius has been performing since 8 years-old, in musical theater, acting, dance and choirs. He studied performing arts at The Boys Harbor as a pre-teen, and in his teenage years, performed extensively with The New Amsterdam Boys Choir and Inner Spirit. These groups offered the young musician dynamic experience. Julius has performed for NYC mayors Kock, Dinkins, and Giuliani as well as Governor Pataki. Julius was fortunate to share the stage with such notable performers as Patti LaBelle, Peabo Bryson, Phoebe Snow, James Ingram, and many more, all before the age of 18.
In recent years Julius has been member of LoveJonesMonroe (acoustic guitar & vocals), What Lola Wants (drums) and is currently in the Freedom Project (bass). Julius is also a regular participant in Worcester Mystery Band, an inclusive space for players of all skill levels to connect with strangers, and over a 6-7 week period write songs together, culminating in a live concert. He liked it so much, Julius sparked the Winter Incarnation, helping the events to take place twice a year. In the last year, Julius has launched a solo effort, and is currently recording an album. His online demo is available here on Soundcloud. For booking, contact Julius@iamtheprocess.com, and happy listening!
