    Kickstand – By JuiceGodBeats

Kickstand is an instrumental that is inspired by “syrup”, a common theme in hip-hop music. I named the beat Kickstand because I have heard people who have used “syrup” say that they’re “leaning like a kickstand”. I began the beat with three primary elements to symbolize the experience. I used 3 synth layers to create the tone I was looking for. Synthesized plucks and leads helped to create the main melody and mood. I balanced those out with an out of control synthesized lead that dramatically changes in pitch and cutoff frequency. I wanted the out of control sound to be constant in this beat to symbolize balance problems, the distorted synth to symbolize perception distortion, and the plucks and water sounds to symbolize ice dropping in a drink. The lead I use on the hook fits in with my signature leads that I use on every beat. If you listen closely, you can hear that the main lead changes in cutoff frequency, pitch, and has delay and reverb on it. The lead was intended to imitate the feeling of a drug trip. The part I wrote for it was intended to create beauty out of chaos. I added the drum parts last to the beat. I used a dirty subbass and kick drum to make the beat bump. I chose gritty hi-hats because I felt they fit well. The snare for the beat matched the other drum sounds. I can hear 2 Chainz, Trinidad James, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Kirko Bangz, and A$AP Rocky on this beat. What do you guys think?
