AMBIENT SCULPTURE MUSIC OF IMAGES AND SOUNDS
Layered Tibetan bowl samples pitch shifted into intervals and chords in 7-limit just intonation. This is section 5 of 5. This part includes a dense drone that explores overlapping harmonies separated by the interval of 49:48, and a section that unfolds some of the melodic aspects of the tuning. Also features a rare performance by the Gamelan Ghost Gong Gdé (Recently Emerged From the Depths of the East River at Grand Ferry Park Brooklyn).
Harmonic movement is from a pitch center of 49:32 to 1:1 (the natural, unshifted tones of the bowl).
Based on a tuning by David Beardsley (Biink).
The piece was originally made in 2009. This version has been extensively reworked and remixed. The score this work is based on can be seen here: http://issuu.com/jrossmusic/docs/themysterytuning

I love this kind of sublime magic of the harmonics that you explored here, and also the intriguing way you guides this composition, even with its "simple" score. Great work!
