I still remember the sounds of southern cities of India; the traffic, the temples, and the noise. But I also remember the peace of Cubbon Park, where a creature continued its call for over 20 minutes, ignoring the other sounds, and the mynah birds and pigeons lived their private existence; and I remember the sounds of rain and wind in the bamboo.

This 9 minute soundscape uses field recordings I made in Bangalore in August 2001, together with some supplementary recordings of my Indian instruments made in my home studio, and all modified and assembled with Csound. This version includes the improvised bansuri playing of Richard Dobson from a live concert, a sound I heard in my head in Cubbon Park; but ultimately the rains come.
