Bio:

Joystick Jay a.k.a Jonas Aasheim was born in Oslo, Norway back in 86 and grew up listening to his shiny yellow walkman with casettes recorded from his boomblaster. When Jonas left kindergarden he got his first guitar and learned all the cheesy begginer tracks like stairways to heaven and here comes the sun, but he soon realised that he needed something more. Around 2000 he met up with Ollis Hergum, Paal Magnus and Sindre Helkås and formed the notorious funk band MonkeyBusiness. Even though funk and disco was important he got more and more into electronic music and when MonkeyBusiness split up in 2002 (because of women, big egos and hard liquor) he started Rubbel&BiT with Ollis Hergum(LektorOllis), a brilliant drummer percussionist and producer. On high school Jonas financed his instruments burning cd..s to classmates, and when he discovered bands like Metro Area, Chateau Flight, Daft Punk, Bjørn Torske and Røyksopp Jonas was forever hooked on deep melodic house music, and the influence of deep house and italo disco is very evident in Jonas productions. After finishing school, doing the invountary military duty and travelling the world Jonas now lives in Copenhagen studying business, dj..ing and making music.
