As one sixth of San Francisco’s much loved WERD collective, JTL has been increasingly making a name for himself as a purveyor of intelligent, danceable house and techno music.

JTL knew he had the ability to play the music people wanted to hear when he used to sneak mixed tapes on to the stereo at high school parties. An adolescence spent listening to underground hip hop installed a constant desire to find the music with the thick beat that spoke to him the most. His introduction to the electronic music came through living in Brighton, England and attending John Digweed's Bedrock nights at The Beach. The experience of listening to these modern day symphonies fed his desire to be immersed in this music; his first visit to Ibiza cemented it.

Since then, time spent living in the UK, Australia, San Francisco and Ibiza has exposed him to some of the best clubs, DJs and producers in the world. His love and dedication to the world of electronic music means that he is now the exponent of a sharp, precise, but always deep sound, one not often heard in the US. This is supported by thought out, purposeful track selection and an ability to read not only the crowd but the time, place and atmosphere, presenting the listener with a rich smooth sound that is always right for the moment.

It’s early days in his career, but already JTL has proven the precision, intelligence and emotional purpose which he brings to his music. Every move made in the booth reflects who he is as a person and everything that he loves about the music he plays. It’s exciting to see where this dedication may lead.
