This is a collection of pieces I put together in the 90's. All are performed and produced by myself using my Peavey DPMC8 keyboard controller, Logic Audio and my Mac. Sounds were either original samples, those generated from sample libraries on my Roland S-760, or synthesized on the Korg Wavestation A/D, Roland JV-1080, or Roland SPD-11 drum pad.
The only piece requiring a little explanation is "Is That A Sample?" My grandfather, nearing the end of his life, brought together distant cousins, uncles, aunts, etc.. for a very special family reunion. During that time, I asked each family member (including dogs and cats) to speak into the microphone and say whatever they wanted. After the reunion, I spent time tuning and editing each sample so that it could be usable in a song. This "collage" is a result of that. It was a very fun and special project.
I don't think I can listen to any of these recordings now without wanting to redo, edit, or polish at least a portion of them. But here they are in their original form.
I am revamping the studio and trying to fit in a few hours here and there to create new pieces that live up to my current standards.
Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy what you hear.
