Josh is a musician and composer/arranger. He publishes arrangements and original compositions with MusicaNeo. Future plans include a commissioned work for a professional dance company and a sound installation for a local art gallery.
Having originally trained as a classical singer, Josh performed as a baritone in solo song recitals and choral concerts, including Centre l’ Orford Festival, Quebec; The Weberhof, Austria; Jordan Hall, Boston; Mount Holyoke College; and the Royal Naval College Greenwich. Singing/acting roles included Beaupertuis in Nino Rota’s Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze at the Cochrane Theatre, London; Clifford Bradshaw in Cabaret at The Greenwich Theatre (Trinity College of Music); and Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro for Guildford Opera.
More recently, he has performed as a singer and instrumentalist (violin, piano & guitar) at The Glen Miller Bar, Jazz After Dark, and Shanghai Blues. He is singer & pianist with the Rhythm n’ Blues outfit The Retro Collective – currently playing at several London venues.
Josh teaches music, leading the department at a London grammar school and has conducted its ensembles on two European tours. He actively works on collaborative projects in education.
