JonQPublik has been dj'ing since 2001, most frequently under the Freespace guise with dj partner EricOrbit. Jon began dabbling with production in 2005, with a more serious approach beginning about 2008. His first official remix, a breakbeat rinse of John Isaac's "Secret", featuring Marcie, was released in January of 2010, on System Recordings. The "House of Cards" EP came out in May of that year on Bellarine Recordings. In October of 2010, Jon released his first full-length album, Compass, featuring 11 chillout and downtempo cuts, on System Recordings. 2011 saw the release of "A Turn of the Screw" on the Tulipa Recordings' Petal One compilation. Jon frequently collaborates with another Boston-based producer,
DJRa, under the moniker Grant Bay. Their first release "Shattered", a heavy tech house track, is featured on Tulipa's 2012 compilation, Petal Two.
