About

A native of Northern VA, Jon Laine has work with artists including Wes Felton, Alison Carney, Raheem DeVaughn, Muhsinah, K'Alyn, Kokayi, and is producing the upcoming LP from NilaKay.
He has also performed with Aretha Franklin, Erykah Badu, David Foster, El DeBarge, Kenny G, Frank Wess, Louie Bellson, Me'Shell N'Degeocello, Steve Coleman, Charlie Byrd, Billy Harper, Yusef Lateef, Common, Omar, Talib Kweli and Phife as a drummer.

He is the musical director for the J Dilla tribute and fundraiser in Washington DC and associate director for VA Music Adventures.

He travels internationally and recently returned from a 2 week tour of Russia.
