I’m Jonathan Byron. I’m a music producer and musician with over 12 years experience in Melbourne, Australia and previously many years of experience as a musician in Perth, Western Australia before my move to Melbourne in 1998. In 1998 - 1999 I studied Audiovisual Technology at R.M.I.T with distinctions in Audio Production and taught media at a Victorian college for a while. I gained experience in several recording studios throughout Melbourne and honed my home recording skills working on my own projects among many others. In 2002 I studied Jazz Performance at N.M.I.T in Collingwood, majoring in vocals.

Over the years I continued to improve my skills as a sound engineer and music producer and worked with many Melbourne artists including Glass Canyon, The Splints, Khin Myint, The boats, Richard Ross, Toni D. Mellow, Glass Mountain, Yolando Green, Broken Miles, Heidi Elva, Ellen Kibble and I have more recently worked with some German artist’s in Berlin, including Our Blanket Skies, Leni Rice, The Major Pins and most recently French artist Fabien Thomas’s project Douglas First.

I am now based between Melbourne, Berlin and the UK (currently in Melbourne) and continue my work as a music producer, branching more recently into the electronica acoustica realm and creating new soundtracks for projects.
