Distorted are the images, and the ideals that are force-fed to us
Oh how could we so foolishly- accept all that what we have been told?
Pity and love, mercy and peace, are now tainted (and) manipulated

    As tools used by cruelty
    To keep us suppressed

Exalted these ideals are, yet they have been so twisted

Deep from the roots within- the virtues seen (were) grown with malignity
Witness the tainted growth. Unnatural now is the form of the the thing that should not be..

We have sold ourselves to thieves, and how we had once believed
in all these hopes and creeds, that instead formed our misery.

Implanted within our minds are doctrines to obey all commands and
Silently and faithfully- lest we fall down to perdition
Yet we, always seem as if we have become lambs to the slaughter
    ..misled...into the mouths of wolves

and we're brought down to our knees

We have sold ourselves to thieves, and how we had once believed
in all these hopes and creeds, that instead formed our misery.

These monuments- warped by cruelty and by constraining hinderers- have rendered me a frail, embittered man.
