"Johnny Lucas writes and performs fresh, anthemic songs which keep you singing through the dark times as well as the bright.”
With influences ranging from 60s McCartney to 90s Northern Brit Pop, Johnny's relatable, feel-good music will always leave you in a sunnier mood. Using multiple loop pedals and several different guitars, he entertains audiences completely solo while sounding like a full band. By including the audience in his performances he befriends the crowds he plays to.
Born in Warrington, Johnny has pursued a career in music from the age of 15, with colourful experiences including living in Nice, South of France for a year honing his craft in live music bars, to entertaining the British Forces in Afghanistan
In 2012, Johnny was crowned “The Next Big Thing” in a “Success Express Music” competition at London's Leicester Square theatre, which has led to high-profile London gigs and opportunities to collaborate with top producers.
The current album, "Attention", is doing well both following a video release of his debut single, “It Keeps Me Alive”, (featuring Neighbours star, Alan Fletcher) and a second single, “Lilo”, which is going down a storm at his live shows, is due out shortly. With fan numbers steadily increasing and exciting new projects in the pipeline, the future looks bright for Johnny Lucas.
“Thereʼs enough hooks and meanings hidden in Johnny Lucasʼ debut album “Attention” to stretch long into the next year when we hope we will get another slice of Johnnyʼs pie.” - Rock Pulse
