The House of the Flying Eyeball…
…started life three years ago as a Facebook group to post Youtube videos. With an anything goes ethos the group soon caught on. With music from Marvin Gaye to Massive Attack, David Bowie to A Tribe Called Quest, Sly & Robbie to The Cocteau Twins, the music taste of the group’s members, fondly called ‘Eyeballers’, has been an inspiration.
After a year long sabbatical John started to put out mixes again under the guise of Johnny Eyeball, with the first being an exclusive mix for the fantastic AOR Disco blog. John’s next project was the Down The Rabbit Hole series, a finely crafted set of mixes where he explores House, Nu Disco, Edits and anything else he can lay his hands on.
After an online conversation with Danny Pickering, John then took to the airwaves setting up the My Favorite Things Radio Show on BoxFrequency.fm. Again with an anything goes ethos and diverse guests such as Nathan Davis, Alan Livie, TNA Soundsystem and Woodzee the show quickly developed a strong following.
Early 2013 Johnny invited Matthew Foord, Hooker Barbie and Steve Bon Scott to join the My Favorite Things team. Now with a new weekly Wednesday slot these four DJ’s, along with stellar guests from all over the world, will indulge their passions to bring you an eclectic mix of their Favourite Things.
