About

Im Johnny, I'm 28 and I play house music.
I base my style on the deeper shades of house, always including elements of groove and often progressing into the realms of tech house.

Past Gigs and Career Highlists include;
-Rocking the bar in Sankeys on numerous occasions, for nights such as Colour & The Techno Experiment
-BN3 Bar in Ibiza for the Cream Pre Party
-Holding a bi-monthly resident within the house arena for GoodGreef
-Tangled @ The Music Box in Manchester

Fav producers include; Joris Voorn, Nick Curly, Mendo, Gorge, Soul Minortiy, Aki Bergen, 2000 & One, Sebo K, Nima Gorji, Reboot, Sameul L Session, Itmar Sagi, Livio & Roby, Nic Fanciulli, District One, La Pena, Slam, Martin Buttrich, Marco Carola, HOSH, Stimming, MIlton Jackson, And If, Daniel Steinberg, Dubfire, Radioslave, Motorcity Drum Ensemble, DOP, Prompt, Anon Pieete, Hugo, Uner, Steve Lawler, Rick Wade, Loco Dice, Kruse & Nuerenberg, Yousef, TiNi, Wodorfski, Recondite, DJ Koze, Maceo Plex, Augustus Gloop, Alexander Kyosev, Ivan Medved, Arapu, Manow, David Glass, Hermanez, Technasia and many more

DJs I currently hold dear are Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Marco Carola, Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin

Originally vinyl based, I currently use a mixture of Ableton, Traktor Scratch Duo and CDJs when recording promos and playing live gigs, and implent EFXs to keep things fresh and bring out the most of each tune.

Initially wary, I have now embraced the "laptop DJ revolution". I believe that using tools such as Ableton and Traktor should enhance a DJs performance. It allows for much more creativity and style to shine through in each set. I do not think that it should matter how a DJ delivers a mix, as long as the music played is played in such a way that it works the crowd and creates moments not to be forgotten.

All of my mixes are recorded in real time with volume control, EQs and FX manually controlled on the fly to avoid the overly clean sound of a strictly automated mix.

I currently use my Pioneer DJM800, Novation Launch Pad, Nocturn, Native Instruments Maschine and Allen & Heath Xone 1D to create my mixes, layering up to 4 tracks together with percussion elements included on the fly.

I hope you enjoy them.
Peace x
