JohnnyBoy is an italian-american Dj/Producer based in Florence, Italy.
As his father fed him a strong jazz-based diet throughout his younger years in California and southern Italy, he later developed a strong taste for hip hop, funk and electronica during over ten years of dj-ing in Florence's major clubs.
His work has been related to Hip Hop, Electronica, Wonky/Headz and more recently he's getting known for his live beatmaking techniques on the akai mpc as performed at the 'IDA Italy Beat the Beat Challenge 2010' in Bologna and at the Finest Ego 'Beatmaker Challenge 2011' in Berlin.
He is a proud member and co-founder of the Florence based collective Overknights and has perfomed among artists such as Kidkanevil, Dza, DreLove, Herbaliser, Esa, Memory 9, King Bleso, Lugi, Wax Tailor, Dj Gruff ....
