This was recorded somewhere around 2 or 3 am on a four hour overnight show on the WNUR radio station in Evanston - broadcasting to Chicago and the internet - hosted by Phonaut.
I'm playing bass - mostly straight bass on this track - although at other times during the night I was doing a lot of controlled feedback and various noises sourced from the bass.
James Johnson had a bevy of DX200's, microKorgs, electribes, and loops. The lovely piano in this is from him.
Vir Unis is playing electribes, roland handsonic, and microkorg I think. It's been a few years!

These airy guitar(?) tones really levitate what was already a reaching and buoyant sound - the layered rhythms stretching away through the sympathetic playing towards ever more complex and biological sounding tints. It makes roomy use of it's live nature.

Very chilled vibe. I'm getting a bit of John Martyn feel - like it.

This could easily have Tangerine-Dreamed into a 'side 2/part 2' type piece...I can hear it wanting to do so as it ends...more, please! Well done!
