My own composition. Could do with a more competent mandolin player.
There's also a remix by ._. UnclE=MC2 ._. here John Hollingum
@Gus Goad: If you take fire and fumbles rather than smooth and sleek, then I'm your kind of player. I'm not sufficiently deluded that I think the fumbles add anything. Anyway thanks for your ears and the extended visit Gus.
Lovely melody - I think your mandolin playing is more than competent!
@RamDam: Thanks Robert. And so gratifying that you couldn't find space to put a timed comment in!
really liked the mandolin in this piece and its interaction with the guitar. beautiful melody
@S.R Woodward: Why thank you Mr W
pure & inspired playing, here
@Biscuitheaven: I've put 100 tracks up. What do want? Blood?
Awesome track, have you any more, don't be shy, get them up here, you already have a fan base you lucky man.
You should put this on youtube with some moving pictures, it belongs in the Movies
@JamKar: Ah! to me sure. Tanks for that
Old Turlough is smilin somewhere!
@Will Bryce - Composer: Oh yeah, sorry about that dirty sock, I thought I'd picked it up.
Such a nice sound you've created here - really enjoying the range of different tracks on your page, excited to see what I'll find next!
@Dave McKeown: It was the slightly later model, not the early seventies made-out-of-tinfoil-and-rusted-in-a-week model, but the reaction to that where they made everything extra sturdy. You felt like a weight lifter just getting the bonnet up.
@John Hollingum: now there was a pile of junk!
@Dave McKeown: It was 1983, we were on the way to the ferry when, boys a dear! the thermostat seized in the Vauxhall Viva. Unscheduled night in said little town. Eb minor! I didn't realize I was *that* out of tune. It's meant to be D minor.
being Northern Irish....I've been through Gatehouse of Fleet a zillion times over the years....shame about the bypass but I still divert when I have the time...great part of the world....Kim hears a low whistle...I'd offer to help out but I'm not sure they make one that plays in Eb minor! I haven't got one anyway...great stuff John
@Tajdar Junaid: Yes Taj, he's done some good work on a lot of things, and his electric piano playing is extremely tasty. Even with my clapped out old ears I can tell this is a good mix.
@John Hollingum: Wow ! I nominate mr Fred White to be the official inhouse engineer on soundcloud :) He has done some brilliant mix for my music which makes me glad everytime i hear it :)
Such a beautiful and honest melody !
@John Hollingum: Haha yeah I read that comment...was interesting.
But yeah he does some renaissance/medieval typa stuff now and its actually really beautiful. You should check it out.
@RumourControl: Thanks for explaining that Ian. I had no idea that Ritchie Blackmoor was a born-again folkie. The last person who commented 'this sounds like Ritchie Blackmoor' got a kind of 'BUH???' response from me as I thought he was suggesting that this wistful piece had something in common with 'Smoke on the Water'
@John Hollingum: exactly what I sai...beautiful
ace track...Im favouriting it :D
this is one beautiful melody. Sounds like the new ritchie blackmore stuff....which Im insane about...so...real nice
@Kitchen Party House Band: That's handy. I was certainly aiming at trad. I was particularly immersed in the melodies of Turlough O'Carolan at the time. One of the greatest melodists to set foot on turf
@Indigolab: Love to be able to take that and carry it home Tom, but really on the evidence here, the most I can hope for is 'mercurial' or haphazard.
