French born, Amsterdam-based Tanzverbot aka John B. has been spinning records since 2006. Having developed his skills in his native Burgundy, his style has constantly been evolving over the years as he travelled around the world and took interest in many genres. This is particularly apparent in his podcasts that range from the breeziest Indie Dance/Deep House playlists to the most energetic Progressive House/Electro House sets.
John B earned his first stripes in Paris where he spent four years, first by hosting almost all weekly student parties at HEC Paris between 2008 and 2010, then by performing gigs in some of the capital's hottest spots (Le 1515, Redlight, Loco, Back Up, Le Cab, Paris Bodega) as well as in large-scale student parties (Boom HEC, Nuit de l'Inte ESCP, Grand Gala des Arts et Métiers, etc.). His Tech House/Deep House sets also earned him the opportunity to become a resident DJ at "Le Cab", a well known lounge club in Paris' nightlife scene back in 2010. His moving to Amsterdam in 2012 enabled him to refocus his attention on Deep House and gave him the opportunity to perform for the first time in Holland in 2013 (Little Buddha Amsterdam, Suzy Wong, etc.).
After creating the "Work In Progress" (Progressive House/Electro House) podcast series in January 2010, he launched a new series of podcasts in September 2012 under the name "Snoepjes". The objective of those podcasts is to popularize Indie Dance and Deep House influences he was exposed to in The Netherlands and in Germany, especially in France where the underground scene shows a huge potential. However, he will also continue to release "Work In Progress" podcasts on a regular basis.
