I offer high quality, affordable, digital mastering of audio. From noise reduction on a single track to the mastering of a full album. Mastering is the final pair of ears to make a record sound like a record and to compensate for any deficiencies that may have appeared in the recording or mixing process. Nowadays a lot of music is not necessarily recorded in a professional studio and a fresh pair of ears can help make your audio sound the best it can, through the mastering process. Bands on a budget will often only have one session in a recording studio, where the engineer will often mix it at the same time as the recording and then send the final mixes through a finaliser. This can often result in an overly bright, over compressed and heavily brick-wall limited mix. You will get a better sounding record by setting aside a small part of your budget for mastering and to ask the recording engineer to not use a finaliser or lots of buss compression on their final mix.

I have been mastering audio for over 10 years, primarily for the alternative DIY scene. Previous clients include Obscene Baby Auction Records - I have mastered nearly all of their previous releases, plus That Fucking Tank, Eighty Six, Mucky Sailor, The Magnificent, Chuck Ragan, The Horn The Hunt, Nope, Matadors and Specialist Subject Records acoustic compilation to name a few.

My rates are as follows:

I charge £15 per track.
If it is 8 to 11 tracks, ie an album, I charge a fixed rate of £120.
Above 11 tracks it is £120 + £15 per additional track.
Two CD-r masters included.
