Sometimes I wake up with nightmares of plugging cables in the wrong way, there’s a fire, and I die trying to save my modular synthesizer. On good days though, I write music.
I haven’t always been like this. Once upon a time, I listened to Guns and Roses and played rock guitar, but somewhere along the way, there was a short circuit, something snapped, and I became hopelessly entangled in the weird world of ELECTRONIC MUSIC. Favoring synths and drum machines over humans, I started a journey that took me to such fantastical and strange lands, so fascinating in fact, that I soon found I was lost, yet somehow, I didn’t mind. I’ve been stuck here ever since. My studio is filled with shiny metal and blinking lights, cables and knobs. Come by and you’ll find me huddled over my synth, coaxing it, wrangling this chaotic beast. Some might call it a takeover of the machine, a mechanical virus, to live with, to die with, and yet, if it is a virus...
I choose sickness!
I was born in Oregon and have lived here most of my life. I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in ’09 with a degree in Songwriting. Ever since, I’ve been writing, producing, and performing my music (mostly electronic). I also teach music and work as a producer and engineer.
