With a promising national carreer, Joal is noticed by the ability to make vibrate any dance floor, even the most demanding, walking between deep and tech sounds, providing a trip that calls all your senses. Regarding prodction, his work can be found in record companies like: Session Trax (JP), Destinto Rec. (SP), Beatfreak (SP), Magna Rec. (PT), Tanira Rec, (PT) among others. New projects, new sounds and the same dedication, are the motto for a continuing development and improvement important to create a work that speaks for itself. Trainer responsible for courses in DJing and Production on one of the most renown DJ academies in Portugal, the Dancefloor DJ Academy, Joal is certainly a name to consider on the outlook of the national and international dance scene.

Joal was born in 1984 in the island of São Miguel (Azores). At the age of 16 his interest and fascination for the world of electronic music was an evidence, trying from then on and throughout the years to win deep knowledge about the art of djing and musical production. This experience has included residing several clubs in the Azores, as well as signing a contract with an extinct agency named “Island Sounds Agency”. In 2005 he moves to Lisbon, where he takes a three years degree in Audio at ETIC (Escola Técnica de Imagem e Comunicação) to acquire and develop knowledge in this wide area. It is also in 2005 that the production project and djing Atlantic Tribe is born. This project is described by its peculiar sounds, where tribal and progressive elements are mixed. In 2009 was created Lilac, the first single with his own identity, where Tech-House elements rule. ----------------------------------------------
