“Some people like to follow tendencies, always explore the same trails until they get wasted and, then, search for a new way. Joal says: “F**k them!!” They are parasites who by quantity obstruct who really fights for pure transmission of art”.

Joal is a DJ & Producer with a very unique style, in which genres are set aside, giving way to total freedom in the choice of the right sensations in the right moments during their set's. However, some say it is common to see it toggle between House and Techno. Music lives in him as he lives for music, in a monogamy deep and everlasting relationship. Groove, creativity and irreverence are adjectives that describe frequently his set’s, which revitalize body and soul. It is important to mention that those are not simple DJ Set’s, but fusion performances between DJ Set and Live Act, with an associated high degree of improvisation, making each one unique.

Roots for inspiration and influence come from artists like Josh Wink, Frankie Knuckles, Marshal Jefferson, Maceo Plex, as well as Dave Clarke, Darrick May, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills.
His long dedication to production allowed him to jump to an international level, releasing tracks on labels like Bitten (NL), Witty Tunes (NL), Land of Voodoo (EUA), Gastspiel Records (GM), among others, as well as the Portuguese Magna Records.

In 2010 a new era begins as A&R of Monog Records label [http://www.monogrecords.com], who Modus Operandi is to make prevail music quality instead of specific genres/styles. One important achievement of this innovative work was his presence with the track Storyteller (Original Mix) in Toolroom Radio Night by Mark Knight and broadcasted by the mythical British radio station Ministry of Sound. This EP, edited by Monog Records, has been supported by DJ’s like John Selway, Roger Sanchez, Dj Vibe, Alex Gopher, D Ramirez, Paco Osuna among others.

In 2011, after a few years of preparation and investiments, time has arrived to show off, this time with a Live Act as a retrospective easily called “Musical voyage”, where are forgotten “generous” again to give way to pure transmission of feelings, without barriers.

Using tendencies, creating tendencies, destroying tendencies, Joal is an artist who, above all, is unique.
