This is something I used to do much more often and recently returned to. Maybe I'll get back into doing remix contests and such....

I love writing and producing my own music, singing, remixing and mashing up tunes, and creating long mixes. I enjoy music of many different genres and began writing music when I was about 14. Previously to that, I would sometimes transcribe music I heard, or play by ear on the piano. I've had formal training in piano and voice, including choral music, as well as dance. I got a degree in Music Theory and am finishing one in Computer Science. I dabbled in sound engineering and acoustics for a time while in college and have been mixing music since about 1999, which is shortly after I discovered trance, house, techo, breakbeats, ambient, trip-hop, drum & bass, and a million other genres of electronic (and other) music. My music degree also enabled me to learn about classical, early, non-Western, and contemporary art music.

I believe that the more music and art we can take in, the more interesting our lives--and our self-expressions--can be, and the better we can relate to others everywhere. Relating others not only fulfills us but makes us more productive, better people.

I love dancing at the club, usually to trance or progressive house music, and most recently in Chicago (e.g., Vision). Going out dancing and seeing DJs who love what they do has gotten me back into the music.
