About
Joseph Espinoza aka Jesp is an American musician and electronic music producer based out of Miami, FL. Born and raised in the Magic City, Jesp is no stranger to the depths of musical harmony and sound design, as well as live performance.
Since emerging on the Miami club scene in 2009, Jesp has captured positive press reviews and radio play following packed performances in Wynwood's art warehouses and South Beach's glitzy nightclubs alike, with his progressive electro sound and untouched pop
remixes. A rabid following and substantial Internet buzz have ensued.
The Jesp debut album Heart Rhythm received over 2,000 downloads in its first week of independent release via Sweat Records, and his sound has been blogged about on Hype Machine, The Get Downnn, Aerial Noise and Off the Radar to name a few.
Jesp took his sound outside of the Sunshine State in 2010, performing a series of live shows in NYC at venues such as Piano's, Lit, Arlene's Grocery and Ella in Lower East Side Manhattan. Late that year, his dark pop track "It's About Time" was well received by listeners in over 40 countries, who helped push the song to #13 on Hype Machine's Twitter Charts. He closed the year with a colossal hometown performance during Miami's famed Art Basel featuring headliners Theophilus London and Rye Rye.
In 2011, Jesp signed with Victorious Management and put the finishing touches to his follow-up EP, Step Into the Dark, featuring club banger singles such as "11:11."Embracing the performance Dj platform Jesp slowly transitioned from a live singer into an edm phenomenon. He also began to collaborate and experiment with different artists, such as friend and raw talent Lauren Wolfe with whom he crafted the acclaimed track ‘Sharks & Mermaids (Eat My Heart)’.
Now, in 2012, Jesp prepares tons of new music and seeks mastery in his sound...
