30 years...
30 years is a long, long time
to be living with a memory -
the kind that clutches, goads and stabs -
remembers fractured, splattered dreams -
haunts the living, loving days.

Letting past affairs reside
where they ought to be,
much depends on from where
I acknowledge and view.

Let the future come as it will,

Getting poetry and sound to marry isn't easy but you have a gift for it..great work!

@swampmessiah: There should be more. It's an ongoing, open-ended project...couple of other things are partly done. It's slow going though 'cuz we both spend a lot of time digging in the dirt.

The tone at the end shifts from tired and haunted to desperately pleading--something anyone with "a past" can understand. This is an effective blending of text, voice and instruments.
