About Jeff Morena:
Jeff Morena, whom through his DJ years has acquired the alias, The Funky Filipino, is the music producing & remixing mastermind behind his recording label, XTC Recordings. Born in Oakland, California, Jeff Morena has become one of the most innovative & individualistic icons in the house/dance music industry today through his own music & remixes, as well as astonishing crowds through his super clean mixes & DJ set selections. Some of Jeff's remix productions include San Francisco natives: Gypsy Love, Kippy Marks, Drumspyder, Vahid & Parsa, and violinist/vocal duo, Fat Magic, to name a few. When speaking of Jeff's most influential production, it would definitely have to be "Disco Shit", which was featured on the mix CD, and in an article of, the winter 2009 edition of New Zealand's world renowned electronic & dance music magazine, Remix Magazine. "Disco Shit" was hand-selected along with tracks from other artists such as: Late Night Alumni, Crystal Method, Norman Doray & Albin Myers, and Tom Neville.

Jeff Morena has been a DJ since 1991, mixing the earlier genres of house music, as well as 80's & 90's classic pop/nu wave/electro/freestyle, disco, old school, and hip hop & R&B. Jeff spent his initial 10 years holding down residencies at every smash venue in central California, but since devoting his last 10 years strictly to his primary passion of house music, Jeff frequents numerous venues in The Bay Area, primarily in the cities he loves most, San Francisco & San Jose. You can catch Jeff Morena spinning live every Saturday night at Brix Saturdays inside the South Bay's hottest house/dance LGBT nightclub, Brix Nightclub in San Jose. You can also catch Jeff Morena spinning live at several monthly events & festivals, including at world famous The End Up, Beatbox, Ruby Skye in San Francisco, San Jose Pride, Pride Night at Great America, along with several other venues from Sacramento to Santa Cruz to Fresno.

Because of Jeff Morena's vast background of music, he has been able to throw down everything house music on the decks from funky disco/vocal, to bangin' electro, to melodic progressive, to dark techno, to 80's/90's/rock remixes, and even Top 40 dance remixes. Jeff loves to take the dance floor on a journey through his years of living in a world of house music, by mixing various selections of some of his most memorable tracks of the past, with some of the exclusive releases of today, along with some of the rarest tracks/remixes from his own secret cache, all blended together along with his own productions and remixes.

With Jeff Morena's constant energetic persona and his motivation to reach the sky, his passion for house music always shows in his productions & stage performance.
