Jean-Philippe ICHARD was born in 1979 in La Teste (Gironde/France) where he begins his musical studies at the age of 7. He learns musical theory and french horn with Francis Richaud and plays with several orchestras, including the Orchestre de la Côte d’Argent and the Orchestre du Conservatoire National de Région de Bordeaux. In 1999 he joins the C.I.A.M (Center of Formation and Musical Activity) in Bordeaux where he studies Jazz piano and the arranging techniques for two years.
He takes the master-class of some great nouns of jazz music, including Mario Canonge, Benoît Sourisse and Jean-Marie Ecay. Jean-Philippe Ichard enters the Conservatoire National de Région de Bordeaux in 2001 in the composing class of Jean-Yves Bosseur and harmony and counterpoint classes of Claude Bass then Patrice De Faccio. In september 2OO5, he is unanimously accepted by the jury in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, in the writing class of Loïc Mallié and Gérard Geay.
He composes for various formations « D’une heure à l’autre » for Six percussionists, several pieces of chamber music ( Trio, Melodies, pieces for piano...) and orchestra musics (Orchestre Ecoly, Jeunes talents Lyonnais, Flynt orchestra, Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine...).
Jean-Philippe ICHARD composed musics for films, TV shows (TF1,France2, France3...) and commercials. He is published by Robert Martin Editions .
