Great !Maybe a more reverb here and there and play with the levels but maybe it's raw sounding is okay too!

    2. Jean-Anton on October 23, 2009 06:48

@Goldman: i think there will be a couple more tweaks before i release this, thanx 4 the feedback

If you want some critical feedback, I just have to say the parts sound to basic. The drums need some groove applied maybe, and the bassline is just to plain. Maybe offset it so it doesn't start on the downbeat? just trying to help.. :)

    2. Jean-Anton on September 24, 2009 05:17

@Grade E: thanx for the feedback, i did wan to keep the bass but the groove deffo needs some more, my intention was to constantly keep building. back to the drawing board

this is a really cool track as it is. if i had to think of how i'd change it on the remix, i think it's be fun to pull back on the synths a bit and step up the percussive energy of the track. that's just my 2 cents.. i have an uneasy relationship with synth and pad sounds in general but i'm learning to appreciate them. anyhow, another very cool track from you.. good luck with it! -mf

    2. Jean-Anton on October 04, 2009 21:02

@mostlyfodder: i used to really hate synth pads too but fell in love with it after a couple of top notch vinyl came to my possession a few years ago. guess its a bit like marmite though, you either love it or hate it, one thing true though is it really helps to fill the space

when in doubt, sidechain it....=;o) I'd also step up that percussion, it's the whole vibe of the track, so switch it up/edit it a bit, IMHO

The feeling i get ft. GC (Jean-Anton's in the music mix)

I dunno bout the sritchy synth in the back but I like the darker tones. It just gets to be to much for me

    2. Jean-Anton on August 27, 2009 07:19

@AdrianLione: i am thinking to glitch it up a bit to smooth the monotony...

    3. mostlyfodder on September 06, 2009 01:50

@Jean-Anton: lemme cast a vote in the opposite direction- it's not too much for me, i want you to step it up- like crank it. in my view you're onto something that grabs me and i kind of want it to go over the top. very unique track, i like it. and great vocals.

    4. Jean-Anton on October 02, 2009 19:20

@mostlyfodder: thanx fella, i might just grit it up some more =)
