Photogenesis NEEDS YOUR HELP TO BECOME A REALITY! The Kickstarter project is here: http://ryanlucht.com/photogenesiskickstarter

For those unfamiliar with the project, Photogenesis is an album of ambient music centered around sounds generated from photographs. I call it "the sound of inner stillness".

This sampler contains some bits and pieces of all the tracks on the album. The tracks are, in order of appearance on the sampler: Counselor Molly, Bros, Evan & Avery at the Airport, M/M/M, Paul Coletti, Noise Track, Texture/Collegiate Feelings, Erika's Juxtaposition, Amanda [Layne] Tilles.

Find out more about the project here: http://ryanlucht.com/photogenesis/ and support it on Kickstarter at http://ryanlucht.com/photogenesiskickstarter.

All demo mixes/sampler mastering by myself, except on "Texture/Collegiate Feelings" by Dylan Lauzon for Boutique Audio Services.

“Each piece on this album has its literal origins in a photograph. The composition process began with taking a photograph and processing it through different software programs that mathematically/scientifically converted visual information into sound. Sometimes this meant that various visual measurements were converted into sine waves, or white noise, sometimes it meant that RGB values were assigned musical notes. Sometimes it was tonal, sometimes atonal, sometimes without pitch at all. Most importantly, however, is that each final musical product paints an entirely new (proverbial) picture of its own- reflecting my feelings for each person, situation, and photograph.”

    Release date: Aug 1, 2012
