Jay started DJing when he was 11 years old, using an old hi-fi seperate phono deck and a tape deck binded together with a hamster box creating crude mixes. After toiling this way for 2 years he bought his first decks, albeit cheapo belt driven ones and began to beat match. At 16 he began his residencies for local house nights Absolute, ...element, gello and laced. As one of the youngest DJs on the scene at that time he got to play along side his peers including Nick Bridges (bodyrox), Conan Manchester (liquid people), The Beginerz (defected) and Robert Owens (defected).
Since leaving the funkier side of house Jay has been busy producing, promoting and DJing for some of the best underground nights in the east including Sao Paulo, Freqklash, Hot Noodle and his own dISCOTECh parties.
After honing and continuously improving his production skills he started tangentMusic - a platform for the strong group of music lovers Jay had grown up with to use to release the music they couldn't hear week in week out in a hick town.
