Javier Cruz aka J. Cruz Jaycruz
start his carreer as a musician in 1997 playing drums in local bands in Bogotá (Colombia). During this time he finds passion for the studio recording process blending latin rhytms, black (Funk, Hip Hop and soul) and electronic music at the time. His music search and evolution brought him to the art of djing and producing music as a solo artist getting as a result the opportunity to play in multiple clubs from Chile, Argentina, Denmark, Germany and Colombia. J. Cruz intricate eye for detail, established from his fine art and graphic design background, has been the driving force to success in latin american scene the past years. He has a unique intuitive dj style and an ability to read and surprise any crowd. His trendy and modern style is an original collage of Funk Music, Slow Mo, Minimal, Disco and electronic beats and silky undertones of early house, a journey that explores the soul, DiscoFunk, Salsoul and Mowtown-infused side of electronic music, all served up with a generous helping of the Harding twist.
J. Cruz is linving in Santiago de Chile now and he create with Inti Kunza the project called Kruz&Kunza, this project was the sensation in festivals like Primavera fauna 2012, they represent the underground sound in the Santiago parties and dancefloors.
