There's not many in today’s scene whose music you can instantly recognise, but Jay Vegas is quickly becoming one of them, having developed his own unique twisted disco sound.
2010 saw the beginning of Jay’s solo venture after moving on from previous alias Groove Invaderz. Since conception Jay’s funky style has been well received, his tracks have gained support from many world renowned DJ’s and producers. Grant Nelson in particular has helped to push his sound by regularly featuring Jay’s tracks on the Housecall Radio Show.
In 2011 Jay joined San Francisco based Guesthouse Music - joining their roster of hugely talented artists such as DJ Sneak, Gramophonedzie, Sonny Fodera, Mastiksoul, and head honcho DJ Mes.
Jay has had a string of successful releases to date, such as 'Way Back', 'All About House' and his huge remix of Carolyn Harding's 'Movin' On' all hitting the #1 spot on the Traxsource.com download charts. His music has also been released on all the worlds leading CD Compilations: Ministry Of Sound, Cream Anthems, Hed Kandi & Stereo Sushi.
Jay is no stranger to the music scene as he began his career at the start of the 90’s alongside other local producers K-Klass and Matthew Roberts (formerly King Unique & Bottom Dollar). Working under different aliases the 90’s saw Jay remixing tracks for many successful pop stars such as Holly Johnson (Frankie Goes To Hollywood) and East 17 – Hey Child, which went on to became a hit in Ibiza as well as being Pete Tong’s “Essential New Tune” as did his remix of Kaya – My God is Real which he remixed for Eric Morrilo’s world famous record label Subliminal.
Let’s not forget Jay is also a talented Dj whose unique style of blending current house (be it Soulful, Disco, Tribal or Tech) with the classic tracks of yester-year have took him gigging around the world from Ibiza to as far as Australia.
