Brief Bio...
From the very beginning I've always been into House music. The birth of Acid House and the rise of the american producers and DJs was an era that will stay with me forever and the feeling I got when hearing some of the biggest records of all time first time round in 1987/88 just cannot be described....
I've been DJing since 1991 and started out at an under 18's night in a local nightclub, I was soon DJing at various Raves and outdoor parties in the early 90's.
In 1995 I was able to make the transition from Hardcore/Techno sets to more US House/Garage after getting booked more for House music...
I became a regular guest DJ around the South Coast and at Clubs such as The Rhino Club (Southampton), The Manor (Bournemouth) and The Empire (Bognor Regis) I held regular Monthly residencies. I was so happy because they were the 3 main underground dance clubs on the South coast at that time.
From Mid to Late 90's I also managed Movement Records in Southampton, where with staff such as James Zabiela, Jon Doe, Featurecast and Sean Brosnan etc we contributed to the progression of undergound music in Southampton. We also had a massive global customer base and most of the DJ's in the region were regularly shopping at Movement.
In 2001 I collaborated with Featurecast and released a single "Smoooth Groovin" ep on my own Label Nu.groove records (not the famous NuGroove), to date this is my only vinyl release and I dissolved the company in 2003.
Over the last few years I've been producing tracks and with the advancements in digital releases on download sites I've has been able to reform a new label Bassjack Recordings.
My releases are sold exclusively on junodownload.com.
I also have a brand called Analogue with a few years of successful nights in Southampton, I continue to DJ / Produce and Promote within the underground dance music scene............
Thanks for reading this brief insight....
Peace............
