Helloooo,

I’m so happy to be able to share my music with such ease as I do on this platform of Soundcloud. I’ve met so many very cool people, had the chance to listen to so much amazing talent out there and the amazing talent are able to comment on my art. I love this whole community.

A bit about me, I’m 29, born in Scotland, brought up in London with a mix of Iranian and English heritage. I find solace in creating music through lyrics and sharing my work with producers and mixing our art. Meeting and working with each producers or musician is an amazing experience which inspires me so much.  

My musical influences are Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Erykah Badu, Sade, Morcheeba, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Queen, Portishead, Lamb, Bjork, Trentmoller, Moby, David Gray, Massive Attack, Jose James, Fiest, All Jazz/Classical, India Arie, James Brown, BB King, Johnny Cash, Lana Del Rey, Lauryn Hill, Madeleine Peyroux, Raphael Saadiq, Jill Scott, to name a few and the list is endless and my personal influences are the people I interact with on a daily basis and the relationships I form with these people inspire and evoke a fire within and sometimes comes out as a song or a bunch of lyrics. I also draw too and its strange that I cant be creative with drawing and creative with writing and singing in the same time. I’m either into the drawing or the music. I quite like the distinction actually.

I try to sing or write everyday but realistically, its about 3 times a week. My phone is full of voice notes and memo’s of lyrics and vocal licks. I’d love to be able to rehash these with someone one day. Someone who I can trust to work through them all with me with patience and creativity, till then what I work on with new people will always be inspired by a fresh angle, it makes it more real and alive.
