Snow Angels

After playing this song over the years, it brings a myriad of scenes to mind; hence its many nicknames such as "Music Box," "Malt Shop" and "Hailing a Cab in the Rain." My first thoughts, however, date back to playing in the snow late into the night as a college freshman. The melody popped in my head a year later, and when I sat down at a piano it was written in ten minutes.
