About
Jarah Damiël de Jong, artist name Jarah Damiël started in 2004 with DJ-ing. During his start-up period, Jarah often listened to Techno. A good friend of him owned cd-players and sometimes Jarah Damiël was invited to come over to learn how to mix. One day Jarah decided to buy cd-players and a mixer. After a lot of practice he was asked to show his skills at small birthday parties. From there on it went fast. More and bigger parties. In 2008 there was a real flow of bookings. He was booked almost every weekend. He never expected this when he started DJ-ing. He already rocked at different DJ-booths and worked with dj’s like: Hardwell, Stefan V, Benjamin Bates, Vato Gonzalez, D-Rashid and Afrojack.
In addition to DJ-ing, he started producing his own tracks. His first track, which he produced in colaboration with Lugar, was released on the Playectra Records (Netherlands) label. Three months later this was followed up by his first EP: "Far From Home", on the same label. After that, he felt he could do more. In the meantime he signed a track on Filthbox Records (Massachusetts), but this wasn’t the end of it. Jarah Damiël also signed a track on Eltronic Fusion Records (São Paulo) and multiple tracks on 220V Digital Records (Kuala Lumpur). A remix competition is being held for one of his tracks: "Magneba EP". tHe also released "A Trip To EP" in Dutch Only! Records (Netherlands) in November. That week "A Trip To" has been highlighted for tune of the week in the Dutch Electro House chart on the mp3 portal Dance-tunes.com. In April 2010 a remix EP is released. Together with two remixes, one from Kama Qu and one from Rolvario. Recently, Jarah Damiël learned that Roger Sanchez played "A Trip To (Rolvario Remix)" on his radio show Release Yourself (episode 444) in April 2010. After this success, a few tracks in 2010 appeared on different compilations. He also signed for Versuz Essentials to release his tracks on their label.
In January 2011 he was a guest in DJ Mogwai’s radioshow Groovemasters, that was broadcasted on Dance Tunes Radio episode #80. His long awaited ‘Incognata EP’ was released on Versuz in march 2011. This EP was smashing. His track Incognata was played on Topradio (Belgium) and RTÉ 2FM (Ireland). Besides this, Entrax was released on a compilation ‘Crazy Dutch House Top 100’, available in stores.
From now on Jarah Damiël is focusing on big targets!
