About

After making the leap from his native West Coast to the East and adopting Philadelphia as his new home, Jan van Lier has just two things on his mind: Fashioning up huge tunes in the studio and moving diverse crowds behind the DJ booth. His first track "One Through Seven" was released by Loöq Records in 2007, was caned by Carl Cox, and paved the road for many successful releases and remixes since. He has been DJing since 1998, and his smooth mixing style combined with his ability to navigate different styles while maintaining a signature groove has earned him fans and accolades worldwide. His latest release, "Blunderhead" on genre-leading Definitive Recordings, was one of his many tracks to enjoy Beatport top 100 chart success. He currently resides in Philadelphia, and through his music, DJ sets and podcasts is quickly becoming one of America's top figures in house and techno music.
