About

James Byron’s unique rock and soul acoustic style has developed through his experiences in bands in Leicester and later in Brighton where he studied at the Institute of Modern music in 2011.

He is currently recording and producing an album of 12 tracks which are an intimate and intense look into his personal relationships and experiences. "Performing music for me is cathartic and helps me look at myself from an outward perspective, I enjoy exposing those things in life that make me laugh, cringe, angry and want to cry because its something we can all relate to and learn from." James' inspiration comes from the emotive and ecstatic performances of Janis Joplin and the honest and raw lyrical workings of Lucinda Williams and Tracy Chapman.

James passion for song writing has seen him performing with the Brighton Institute of modern music's house band in Brighton at the Komedia in 2011. Since then he has done the open mic circuits in Brighton and has now returned to his hometown of Leicester where he is working up to local radio and up coming national festivals which will expose him to a wider audience of listeners. "My career objective is to work very hard and create timeless music that borrows from old and modern music. I would really love to perform on Jools Holland someday"

"I wont be here when you come around, gave you my everything, you took my everything, no I wont be here when you come too, cause I don’t want anything to do with you"
Thin Ice (You Took my Everything)

"A wash of my grief devours me, as these autumn leaves just keep reminding me, that I miss you like I did 2 days ago"
2 Days

"For what ever its worth, I got what i deserve, seems like I’ve tried everything and nothing works, and now you rage through me like a hurricane, I float around like debris, I don’t know where I should be"
Obsolete (Rage Through Me)
