@Holly Drummond: Thanks Holly. Should I be successful, we can edit the remix down and yank out the bits you don't like. It's quite long so there is a lot of room to play with. Hope to be working with you soon.

"Go wild" is what Lee said - I didn't hear anything about sticking to a checklist of what (not) to do (not outshine the vocal, no big melodic riffs) - Christ If I knew that I would have just posted the vocal stem as my remix entry!

Everybody should just ignore Aaron and stick to what lee said, "go wild" (in everything you do) and throw caution to the wind. If you win - great, if you don't win - great. Who cares, you got to boost your production chops with quality remix stems.

I leave you once again with the words of Lee Harris himself, "go wild".

@Excape: As you will all find out, if you don't know already, it's always the least creative (most commercial) remixes that win. Virtually every time. Just one of the realities of the music business, I'm afraid.

Good remix. A bit too much copy and paste for my liking and would have liked a brighter-sounding vocal. Gets a bit self-indulgent at times but still a quality remix. Well done on the win!

Reasonable remix. Perhaps tries too hard? The brass licks work to a point but it feels very contrived. It's almost like it's from a sample loop library.

Nice to hear someone not cheating!! Good work. There is some nice stuff in here and I really like the 303 bass. I'd be tempted to ride that cutoff frequency a little higher, though! Got some potential this.

Vocals are a bit boxy-sounding (possibly around 350-600Hz region). Not really digging this remix. Some nice ideas and harmonic changes which is welcomed. Not one I'd choose to listen to again.

Am diggin' that Rhodes man! Never get's old. Nice digital synths too. I would the style of this piece into the deep house category with a techy edge. Really like this a lot. One criticism - it's calling out for four-to-the-floor kick somewhere; that'll just top it off nicely! Excellent job!

I think this works quite well. Nice harmonies. From what I can tell you have recorded the piano live yourself using an upright piano. Could do with a bit of compression and EQ'ing the low-mids to clean up the sound of the piano. One cannot fault the compositional values, though! - I hope you will get an experienced producer (or maybe yourself) to fix the production issues as this is a quality remix!

Bass really carries this track, btu there are some great synth elements. Sidechained pad (at least that's what it sounds like - could be gated instead??) is good and creates a nice pulse in the track.

Quality dubby towntempo vibe with some classic 909 sounds. Perhaps the claps are too harsh at around the 6-8Khz region? A minor picky thing over a really good remix!

Nice Cuban influences to begin which makes for an interestingly good take on this song. That bassline quickly begins to sound it's being played by a demented clown - quite sadistic actually. Interesting.

Decent remix but your drums don't always keep the groove held tight; the kick drum is not always placed in the most grooveable spot for the bassline. Other than that it, the remix works well.

Squashed WAYYYYYYY over-mastered production here. There is no need for such a squashed mix, especially this one. Fill your frequencies before you reach for compressors and limiters to lift the sound. However, the core remix is decent and there is some nice ideas. I just can't forgive you for the mastering, sorry - it's just a big no-no.

This is classic house. I like it. Bass gets in the way a bit. It's very heavy on 1-2Khz on the vocals and I they're a bit hot. Whole mix could do with some deep bottom-end. Other than that a good little remix that is pleasant on the ears.

Love the vocal splicing and drum work is well done. TB-303 (emulation?) fits well with that kick. Sometimes the octaves jumps in the bass ruin the groove in places but other than that a very decent remix.

Love the filtering at the start, notching at just the right frequency. White noise adds some nice beach wave sounds. Some really nice bandpass filtering going on here. Bottom-end could do with a bit of a clean-up. Deep kick drum is really nice but would would be stunning if when you tiny those lows in other channels. Good work!
