@Sean Morrison: Hey dude, i tried adding another little string over the top of the build just b4 this comment, and then carried it through for a couple of bars using the release on full, but it just didnt sit right??? I dont know if ive just got used to the track the way it is but the stings didnt fit in at all? Maybe ill just play with the mix slightly...

@jamesfrancis: That's cool holmes, good to see you know what you want from the track! It sounds perfect for what it is made for, should defo whack it on a CD and send it out to some labels once you've finished tweaking it =)

@project-d-i-r-t: Thanks dude! Yeah thats exactly what I was goin for, the warm up is one of the hardest sets to play, you have to keep it groovy without pushing to hard, so Im very happy with the (almost) final result! Just a few tweaks here and there and it should be good to go!

@Aarin Fraser: Nice one big man! Gunna have a critical listen to it today and just see if it needs anything else, Im thinking maybe a string section over the final chorus, will wait and see...

@kid deep: Hey mate thanks for the comment! I have been working on my 'mixing & mastering' process for a while now, so starting to get to know where all the elemnts of the track fit together within the mix to make it have a real fat sound. One tip I find really useful is having all you drum / percussion elements sent to the same short gated reverb which makes them sound much more like they should fit together rather than being different sounds. Another thing I do is sum all of the separate elements to the track, eg drums, leads, fx etc. to separate busses which are then Compressed and EQed before being sent to the master channel strip which I use an EQ, Multipressor, Exciter and Adaptive Limiter. I find it really sucks the track together, tightens the whole thing up and makes it work a lot better!
Will look into adding a bit more over the next few days, but its very close to being finished now! Maybe a string section over the final chorus...

@Sean Morrison: Thanks buddy! Yeah I wasn't 100% sold on the arrangement myself, but after a few days listening I think it it sounds the way it should do. The track is not designed for peak time playing, although i suppose that would depend on the venue and music style, but more as a nice long track with subtle changes here and there to get u movin and shaking at the bar, and hopefully temp you on to the dance floor, if you get what I mean ha ha! Really appreciate the comment mate, always good to get feedback from fellow industry peers! ;)
