James Blakstar John aka 'The International Weirdo'; A DJ/ Music Producer & Director from Berkshire...
A bit more than just big hair and polite dancing.
James's first call to the scene was back in 2008 in the days of MySpace... Yeah, remember MySpace?
James produced a Bootleg remix of Sandy Rivera's - 'Freak' which received DJ/ radio play worldwide, huge popularity on MySpace and Sandy himself even contacted James with his approval.
This lead James being commissioned to remix Tito Puente's world famous hit 'Oye Como Va' and became the 2nd most popular track on a top 20 Dance music compilation.
James' debut track 'Smile' with vocalist Deon Nathan received huge support in the House music scene and airplay on BBC 1xtra & Kiss FM.
Since then James has remixed & produced for various labels around the world, performed in Russia, America & Europe and even wrote music for the Scottish short film 'Downing'. This helped the film receive selection for Rhode Island Film Festival as well as being shortlisted for the Iris Prize.
James has received great feedback from: Deepak Chopra, Lauren Pope, iDJ Mag, Roy Davis Jr, Vikter Duplaix, Alistair Albrecht, Karizma, Swindle, DJ Pioneer, Rinse FM, Kiss FM, BBC 1Xtra, Film4 Insider and Many more.
Today James actively DJs & writes music as well as directing documentaries, music videos & short films for many well-known figures.
And if you ask James what the future holds for him... Depending on how tired he is, he'll probably answer with something philosophical that has nothing to do with music...
