Just felt like playing some trippy downtempo guitar...
P.S. new mix 9/13/13
@pantsofdeath: Thanks very much!
@Real Lights: Thank you
@Axel Sonnenschein: great - as long as it is not like guitar gibberish!!! Thanks
@peanut_gallery: Thanks again!
@iosmusicandyou: funny to read that, because some of the things you mention I consider my weak points - melody for example...so it is nice to read that you thing otherwise. as for the background comp, I do struggle with that, since I am really really new at composing at all, let alone using this technology I always find the result to be amazing, so throwing guitar bits over it - to me - seems to take away from the composition as it was, and all of the little details that I stress over are not even audable any more...and since I have been hearing myself noodle on guitar for many years longer than on synths, it almost seems to take away more than it adds (at least to my ear) so (yes I do have a point I think) your comments are especially important to me because it seems that the blend of these two elements do seem to find some unity after all...which is the idea to begin with. so, thanks! I appreciate that you take the time to commenjt, it is very helpful!
@hanklebury: Thanks (me too)
@user7616806: Thanks very much!
@Michaelw: Would not have made this or posted it were it not for our recent collaborations, (or if I did the guitar woould be barely heard) so the thanks goes to you my friend. I can only imagine what this would sound like in your hands!
@peanut_gallery: Appreciate it Ian!
@Yusakri: Thanks man!
@Alasdair Groundwater: Many thanks Ali!
Somehow you make this sound effortless. Excellent ambience and great guitar.
Great sounds and atmosphere, Jack. I especially like this part!
Great work! I think it's my favorite of yours so far. Outstanding.
This is f in ( being Scottish I hate this word "AWESOME ") but I have to use it for this one ! Love this bro
Great track Jack. Love the feel of this one.
Great guitar layers.
Great intro. I like how the track takes its time building atmosphere before the drums kick in.
Nice effects man!
deep and epic! good work!
As always, I really love your sense of melody Jack. You've obviously got the chops to shred, but you use them so tastefully to pull some beautiful music out of your chord progression. I've got a lot of respect for that. I'm really digging what you do sonically in the background as well - you've created such a lush soundscape of synths that melds so well with your guitar tone. Really smart playing and recording!
lovely, like a guitar conversation
@Michaelw: could do with some scottish folk....
Great feel jack
Lots of atmosphere here. Great guitar work too!
Nice one Jack. Good guitar and a great slamming drum.
