Equally comfortable entertaining listeners in a pub, restaurant, theatre or festival stage Jack’s reputation as a gifted songwriter and dynamic performer has won him invitations to play venues across the country with some of Canada’s best known performers, including David Foster, Tom Cochrane, Colin James, Spirit of the West, 54-40, Valdy, Wide Mouth Mason, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, and James Keelaghan
Jack Connolly grew up playing coffee houses, concert halls, and folk festivals on the West Coast of British Columbia. His unique voice, genuine warmth and passion for songs and songwriting earned him fans across the west, from church basements to big city music clubs to small town fairs.
“Amazing, simply amazing. I hired Jack to open for our headliner on the Sunday of our fair. Jack captivated the crowd with a high calibre performance that was obvious by the deafening applause that followed each song he and his back up band performed and the line up of autographs he had to attend to after the show.” • Karen Clevette, Vancouver Island Exhibition
“It’s tempting to compare Jack to contemporary singer/songwriters like John Hiatt or John [Mellencamp], but . . . his music already shows more depth than a simple comparison would allow for. With one foot in country, one in blues and one in rock and roll . . . Jack is already ripping it up everywhere he performs.” • Vancouver Island MusicFest
“Jack Connolly was a major hit at our festival . . . [and was] picked as a festival favourite by many. Jack’s guitar playing is exceptional, his voice strong and unique, and his song-writing skills extraordinary . . . he had the audience hanging on to every word and note.” • Clemens Rettich, Artistic Director, Edge of the World Music Festival, Queen Charlotte Islands
“…Driving his band through a high energy set in front of a capacity Islands Folk Festival crowd, Jack stands and delivers.” • Brent Hutchinson, Islands Folk Festival, Duncan, BC
