what you got going on in that main sound? vocal chopped and layered with a couple instruments, and then some mild portamento action?
@ℑ₩Θ Gμη§ ψ℘: thanks man, i spent a lot of time mastering and panning and whatnot, so i'm pleased that you caught on! cheers
@Wormwoodmt: thanks! would be interesting to hear someone try to rap over it!
@Reeky: thank you. i find heavy electronic compositions without mellow bridges virtually unbearable. the addition of such a section always makes the listener appreciate the heavy sections much, much more, imo.
@Credne's Cod Peace: thank you!
haha - not sure that these two fit with the rest of the styles in this mix but it's still nice to hear it thrown in there
there's some nice stuff in here but i think both the bass line and the drums are a bit too predictable. still, cool track
this section is cool. great instruments to make your sound more unique.
nice mellow beat, makes for an interesting mood for a rap. nice work. and some good lines too
very nice work! and what a vocalist. this reminds me of portishead somewhat, but with live instruments? dope
great build work. i'm always impressed by how such a simple melody with the right instrument can become so catchy and enticing.
"In your face with a ton of bass" is apt. Catchy, if a bit strong for my taste. Nice balance of instruments, eqs.
pretty solid drum programming (assuming it's programmed). great vocal work too. could use a different progression at some point!
very nice intro. i like that filtering, good work. is the filtering automated at all? it sounds like it might be, at least later on.
nice gramatik sample. he's quite a producer, and a natural fit for rappers such as yourself
nice vocal work! great melody and harmonies too.
heavy stuff. nice and catchy. it would be nice to hear a variation on that though
this bass line . . .
@Electric Mantis: so glad you enjoy it! honored. thank you for listening.
this is nice, a fun style to fuck with. i noticed the tag "slomo" and also that the song is very reminiscent of shlomo's (artist) work -- based off him?
Ahh haha this is dope
@Spundose: All very valid and appreciated tips. And If you'd want to try and remix it let me know, I think the sample would work with that
@House Division Records: Appreciate it!
wow, a lot going on here. maybe tone it back a bit. it is Definitely "trancey"
But it ain't really my style so don't mind me too much.
cool scratch and drop. glitch hop it is indeed. happy to hear this, its good inspiration to keep it different. fresh style
i like the arps, build, drums, drop, basically: nice work!! impressive
@mathumatix: ha, thanks. spent a lot of time on it
@reynoldsemcee: glad you enjoy!
@guy-tinkham: Thank you.
this is a really well put together track. nice builds and drops and slaps. only thing I could suggest would be to change up the progression with a bridge at some point. but I dig it
mean sound man. cool flow. i'd like to hear it on a very different beat, see what happens
i like the unique drum sounds, but i would say work on the melody a bit. its repetitive. keep up the good work though.
was this a halloween release? lol
cool in the creepy aspect..but it feels sort of over-simplified at parts. make it more versatile
not much to say improvement wise. maybe a variation of the bass line. as a progression, there are many places you could go with it. I like the overall style, though.
minimal is good, but consider changing up that bass note every 4 bars or something. you know? like if, say, its a G, jump it up to the 5th (D). but cool vibes
beautiful instrumental. no samples? if so impressive.
this is all live? if so very impressive guitar work, but maybe throw in a few long screams once in a while? or just let it breathe
impressive versatility. i think a vocal chop here or there would really help (or a melody variation), but i suppose that's just my opinion. nice work though, must have taken a lot of time.
