ispcc-children-believe-what-pathetic
The ISPCC have released the 2011 Childline statistics highlighting the issue of emotional abuse. In 2011 more than 54,000 contacts were made to the service by children experiencing some level of emotional abuse.
To raise awareness of the damaging affects of emotional abuse the ISPCC have launched the ‘Children believe what they are told’ campaign. Following on from our Anti-Bullying Week, and the reaction to this from schools, parents and young people nationwide, we know that words can leave deep scars and have a long lasting negative impact on childrens self –esteem.
