I have been trying to find a way to buy this in Australia. It's not on itunes and when it came up on juno it said due to licensing reasons I couldn't buy it in Australia. It's been out for months now so how can I buy it?

Played Starlite, orginal version next to Blue Monday in Kosovo yesterday for a street party. The young Children In Need happily kept dancing and playing basketball. Couldn't get much better than that on a Fall, sunny, summerlike day.

Not too sure about it, myself... To me, it doesn't sound like him singing... and I'm not liking the general vibe of it... It's a bit pop-y.... Oh, well, I'll try give it time to grow...

Nice tune. Light, breezy and optimistic - not unlike some of his very early solo stuff. Weller fell off the radar for me after Heavy Soul, but he seems to be going through a renaissance with the last two albums, which were both excellent, and this latest offering. Looking forward to hearing more.

@John Crowley Best album since All Mod Cons???? It was rubbish, awful. Have you not listend to Sound Effects, Our favourite Shop or Wild Wood. Jees.

@shinealite...if you don't get the fact that Weller draws from all areas of modernism for musical inspiration then you should give up listening to him. People who want him to write 30 years of Jam albums just don't get it.

@shinealite: Weller has no 'one direction' If you havn't sussed that out by now. Go and find your solitude in 'All Mod Cons' again and again and again...

I am not a huge fan of House music...I thought the "Modernism" album was terrible (except for "That Spiritual Feeling").
I kinda like this one though...it's definitely a grower. Definitely elicits a "summer" feeling...for me anyway.
Decent!

Huge TSC fan, big solo fan, mild jam fan. This song? Total snoozefest.

I think its one of his best tracks. im mainly a jam fan and i though WUTN was his best lp since the 80's....but even i like this! slight jam sound and lots of early style council in there but a nice early 80's sound with a modern twist. his voice sounds very youthfull again. great stuff!

@Mask_Of_Anarchy: No rope here mucker, but definitely plenty of BOOM! What a quality groove! Reminds me of the mid 80's. Weller is pure genius.

@Loulou43: Well said LouLou. Even if Weller did care (which I feel he does to a degree), because we are the buying public, I still don't think it would change Weller doing what he does best. Now I'm wondering if the remixes or the released studio version of STARLITE will sound even better.
