"difficult to say what leads my in my mixes.
i spin records for 20 years now...
20 years ago i spun dark wave and crossover
14 years ago i played hard techno, witht three decks and endless loops...
10 years ago i loved psytrance and goa music
8 years ago i played a lot of bastard pop and mashups
then breaks, house, deephouse, some drum and bass... everything.

i love long fades, i like it to play tracks together for a couple minutes...in my opinion a dj mix shoud surprise you now and then, have perfect combinations and also changes in the mood. he should take you by the hand and lead you to pictures.

i like to mix different genres and still claim a "red line" - perfect surveys and yet surprising...."

.. .. Irwin Leschet was born on an arctic island, on 10.02.71 and after a long and tearful journey he arrived in Cologne in 1996,where,in his own words he always belonged.

Within a few weeks of his arrival he was Resident DJ in the legendary Liquid Sky Club,and in these surroundings he began to produce his own tracks.

The move to Cologne gave the enthusiastic record and synthesizer collector the required kick to become a Musician.

Leschet began his DJ career in Trier,Germany in 1992.
As a DJ Leschet has already covered a broad spectrum;
..the performer with his self produced endless groove records,wehre he plays with 3 Technics,2 mixers,a Nord Modular and a DJ Collegue.

the Open Air DJ,with groovy Techno tunes that can turn a field into a pumping,dancing lifeform,the best example being the legendary Shoop Open Air partys.

the Lounge DJ,where he conjures groovy tunes out of a hat for hours on end,tried and tested in Liquid Sky,and heard every month by over 500 enthusiastic follwers at the 3 Klang party (Art theatre ,Cologne).

the Elektro Bunker resident,where he delivered hard techno sets,unforgotten the Open air Elektro Bunker partys for PopKomm,where Leschet seved up some great performances between 1997 and 2003.

..the Bastard Pop Bootlegger,where he conjures his own mixes from his exstensive vinyl collection.His close relationship to Remixers from Belgium and England allows him to present previously unheard tunes.

One can see that the man who has chosen Cologne as his home loves music and vinyl,that he is not a follwer of musical fashions,but instead a man who sets the trends.His charasmatic conduct,both behind and in front of the decks,helps to make his DJ sets remain as a great memory in the minds of the partygoers who see him perform.Leschet is a Technician who loves to use all the tools at his fingertips,without ever sounding overloaded.Its fun to watch this man work!
