I'm a collector of groove music since 1986, the sound heard on the hip radio stations, record shops and clubs of Manchester ( my birthplace ), a place I marketed simply as THE RAINY CITY since 1990 when I started deejaying on the club circuit in the city and more so with my label RAINY CITY MUSIC since 1996. I've spent the last twenty years making Roots House Music, Deep Tech/ Tech House, Detroit influenced Techno, Jazz, Latin, Brazilian music, Funk, Disco, Jazz Funk, African Music, Indian Music, film type soundtracks and Electronica etc etc. I've programmed hundreds of events and deejayed in many spots worldwide with so many of the greats in groove music, for example, with Questlove - The Roots, Tony Allen - the Afrobeat king, Norman Jay - Mr Rare Groove/Boogie etc Orlando Voorn - Detroit Techno/ Hip Hop DJ, Seu Jorge - City Of God and lately with electro-funk maestro Greg Wilson amongst many many others of all styles to long to mention here. I live, breathe and create only the most artistic of vibrations of groove music in a world full of mediocrity. My solo lp of Deep House/ Deep Techno is done and on the way, look out for the limited vinyl release 'Void The Void'. My other lp with long time partner CYRIL ' REX LEON ' is almost ready too and available in part from Traxsource and various digital stores. My new electronic project REALPOLITIK will be available on VINYL in the very near future. My current ROOTS HOUSE MUSIC party COMMUNITY is there to show how dance music can and should be played with depth & variety. Our special guest dj for COMMUNITY'S 3RD YEAR Bday party on April 2nd 2011 was JOAQUIN 'JOE' CLAUSSELL from NYC. I just have produced and programmed a three night special in Black History month called THE BLACK SOUND SERIES last October 2010 with CONTACT in Manchester and it will hopfully continue in 2011.
