About

IO. LAB RECORDS is a Czech independent music label focusing mostly on the dubstep, breakbeat, drum&bass, tekno or downtempo. Our goal is to support the independent domestic electronic musical scene. IO.Lab came into existence in 2002 as a constellation of DJs and producers (the original part of the AKA.IO sound system). In the beginning, our activities concerned mostly organizing tekno parties and liveset performances. Worth mentioning is a drive for support of the liveset community in the Czech Republic, today already of a cult significance, called Livesetbattle.cz. In 2005 we founded a non-commercial internet station, radio23.cz, aimed at alternative electronic music. At present, music composition and sound post production (mix, mastering) are among our primary activities.
